Another quick update...Mark is doing so much better! Today he walked from his room, all the way to the end of the hall and back. He is getting stronger each day. We are so excited! The neurologist stopped by tonight and seemed extremely satisfied with his progress. He said that Mark is bouncing back faster than what any of them thought he would. God is hearing our prayers, and I know that is the reason he's recovering so quickly. There is also a good chance that Mark will be coming home tomorrow! Praise God! I have missed him so much and I can't wait until he comes home.
We will have to monitor his progress over the next month quite closely. He will have to come back if he has any type of fever, experiences more weakness or a worsening of his condition. He will be starting physical therapy on Monday and we will be coming home with a walker, but we are very optimistic that he will make a full recovery. He will also have to come back in 3 months to have an MRI of his brain to make sure no lesions have developed because they just want to make sure that this was not a first attack of MS. So, needless to say, its been a long haul but God has been good to us and he's coming home!
Specifically, if you could please keep praying:
-Complete healing-No recurrences or lesions in his brain
-That he will continue getting stronger
-That we will both be able to rest and regroup before the baby comes, which could be anytime
-That we will remember this situation, and thank God every single day for simple things, such as walking, that we take for granted each day
-That we can use this experience as a testimony to others
Thank you all for your continued prayers. They mean everything to us. I'll be in touch!
In Christ's Love,
Jessica
